Chance with hometown Hornets ‘surreal’ for West Charlotte and UNC star Kennedy Meeks

Kennedy Meeks was on top of the world. His blocked shot against Gonzaga with less than 30 seconds left in the 2017 national championship game helped send UNC to its sixth NCAA title — and some redemption after falling short the previous year against Villanova. For Meeks, that win is similar to his journey to the Charlotte Hornets summer league team.
