David Noel finds comfort in Comcast Center
Posted Feb 3, 2006
At Wednesday's practice, junior Wes Miller told David Noel: "It's about time for you to have a big game." At Thursday's shootaround, coach Roy Williams reminded him, "You always play great here." So just before tipoff of North Carolina's 77-62 victory over Maryland, Noel started talking to himself. "I told myself, 'This is the game you're going to attack the basket, you're going to shoot the ball when you're open, you're just going to have confidence in your game,' " he said. In the end, the senior forward took all of those words to heart -- and to the hoop.
