UNC found itself in another early hole, and for the second straight week fell short during a fourth-quarter comeback. But the Tar Heels lost because of turnovers. Appalachian State defensive tackle Demetrius Taylor sacked Sam Howell, forced a fumble, then scooped it up for a touchdown that gave the Mountaineers a 13-7 lead they would never relinquish.
