Steelers have faith in sure-footed kicker Reed
Posted Jan 30, 2006
Jeff Reed knows the joy of kicking the winning field goal, including twice this season in the closing minutes. He hasn't missed one to tie or win the game at the end, and he does not want to start Sunday. The Steelers would prefer a runaway victory against Seattle in Super Bowl XL, but if it comes down to needing a field goal from Reed to do so, they say they will take that, too.
