Not even a huge night from Tyler Hansbrough could rescue the Tar Heels. The freshman forward finished the night with a career-high 26 points and eight rebounds, so impressive with his tenacity that when he fouled out with 8 seconds to play, Boston College forward Craig Smith gave him a courteous round of applause.
