Tar Heels' freshmen are shining
Posted Dec 20, 2005
When Tyler Hansbrough stepped to the free-throw line in the second half against Santa Clara Saturday, the Smith Center went accordingly silent. Then, just as Hansbrough was lining up, a female voice shrieked and echoes throughout the arena. “We love you, Tyler!” Hansbrough missed the foul shot. And then the next. Regardless, the point was made. This UNC freshman class is starting to become a fan-favorite. And at 6-1 when nobody expected it, why not?
