UNC Outlasts Yale 70-67 in Nonconference Finale

North Carolina relied on its defense once again to top Yale, 70-67, on Monday as Roy William notched his 879th career victory, tying mentor and Tar Heel legend Dean Smith in the record books. Brandon Robinson scored a career-high 20 points and knocked down a career-high five three-pointers in leading the Tar Heels. Justin Pierce added 14 points.
