Brian Chacos gets extra year of eligibility Posted Dec 10, 2005 North Carolina announced Friday that the NCAA has granted offensive tackle Brian Chacos a sixth year of eligibility, allowing him to play football for the Tar Heels in 2006. That was a thrilling piece of news for coach John Bunting one day after he dismissed junior receiver Mike Mason for an undisclosed violation of team rules.
