North Carolina began the ACC season 0-3 in 1997 and still went to the Final Four, but for the most part ACC record books suggest how a team starts will go a long way toward dictating how the team finishes. UNC is nearing the point where it will have to win the ACC Tournament to make the NCAA field – probably not quite there yet, but it’s getting close.
