Lineman commits to North Carolina

Mike Ingersoll, a promising all-around lineman from Matthews, has decided to stay close to home and play for North Carolina. Ingersoll is a 6-5, 260-pound senior at Butler High School, and he just finished his third season as a varsity starter for Coach Mike Newsome. Ingersoll visited UNC over the weekend, and he also had scholarship offers from Vanderbilt, Duke, East Carolina, Virginia and Illinois.
