UNC Among College Football's Teams on the Rise for 2020

Of the six losses suffered by UNC in 2019, all came by seven points or fewer. The emergence of freshman quarterback Sam Howell played a huge role in UNC's improvement. The return of 1,000-yard rusher Michael Carter, three starters up front, and two big-play receivers in Dazz Newsome and Dyami Brown surrounds the sophomore for 2020.
