Texas A&M Fires Carl Torbush

Texas Texas A&M defensive coordinator Carl Torbush has been fired, three days after the Aggies recorded their second losing season under coach Dennis Franchione. Torbush was defensive coordinator under Mack Brown at North Carolina before succeeding him as head coach when Brown went to Texas. Torbush was a native of East Spencer and was the first North Carolina native to become head coach of the Tar Heels.
