Because of his late development, Michael Jordan did not attract the recruiting attention one might expect. UNC coaches got a good look at Jordan in a summer camp before his senior year. The coaches loved his athleticism and potential, though his skills were still a bit raw. Jordan committed to Carolina barely 24 months after the trauma of getting cut at Laney.
