Jordan's Call Gave UNC's Scott Williams a Shot with the Bulls

Scott Williams, one of UNC’s best big men under Dean Smith, developed a rare connection with Michael Jordan. Williams, who was once recruited by Jordan to go to UNC, said the six-time Finals winner also lobbied management in Chicago to land him his first big NBA contract. Williams impressed in his senior season at UNC — averaging 14.5 points and 7.3 rebounds.
