Several Tar Heels Released As NFL Teams Trim Rosters To 53 Players

Teams in the NFL were required to cut their rosters to 53 players by 4 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon. Among the former Tar Heel players released were LB Andre Smith (BUF), RB Antonio Williams (BUF), DT Aaron Crawford (BAL), WR Ryan Switzer (PIT), LB Malik Carney (DEN), S Myles Dorn (MIN), FB Jake Bargas (MIN), and OL William Sweet (SF).
