Jackie Manuel allocated to NBDL
Posted Oct 16, 2005
Jackie Manuel has been designated an "allocated'' player to the Fayetteville Patriots by the NBA's minor league. Each D-League team will receive two allocated players before the Nov. 3 draft, but only one is guaranteed a spot on the team's roster. "It's an opportunity for me to be able to stay close to home where I can work out in Chapel Hill and be close to the people I love,'' Manuel said Friday. "I think Fayetteville is going to be a great opportunity for me to showcase my skills, and it's an opportunity for me to learn by playing against NBA-caliber guys."
