Finally, after two years of waiting, Michael Carter exorcised his demons against Virginia Tech. Then a much-less used sophomore running back for a North Carolina team in the midst of its second straight nine-loss season, it was Carter who, despite his then-career-high 165 rushing yards, fumbled the ball against the Hokies in 2018 on the two-yard line.
