Wayne Ellington agrees with Detroit Pistons on one-year, $2.6 million deal

Wayne Ellington has agreed to a one-year, $2.6 million deal with the Detroit Pistons. Ellington was waived by the New York Knicks last week as New York parted ways with six veteran players. Drafted with the 28th overall pick out of UNC in 2009, Ellington has averaged 8.0 points, 1.1 assists, 2.2 rebounds and 41% shooting (38% from 3) for his career.
