Entering Friday’s matchup against No. 2 Notre Dame, No. 19 UNC had been outrushed twice this season Both games – road trips to Florida State and Virginia – resulted in losses. The Fighting Irish outgained the Tar Heels on the ground, 199-87, on their way to a 31-17 victory. Notre Dame’s dominance in the trenches extended beyond stopping the run.
