UNC Drops ACC Opener in Raleigh

PNC Arena has been hospitable to North Carolina in recent years, yet without fans in attendance, N.C. State upset the No. 17 Tar Heels, 79-76, in both teams’ ACC openers on Tuesday. The Tar Heels lost for just the fifth time in 25 trips to Raleigh, but did so in a familiar fashion this season. UNC fell behind double digits for the sixth time in seven games. (Inside Carolina)
