Tar Heels planning to redshirt Cam Sexton
Posted Sep 29, 2005
Despite being precariously thin at the quarterback position behind starter Matt Baker, North Carolina coach John Bunting is leaning toward red-shirting Laurinburg's Cam Sexton. "I don't see many reasons to not redshirt him,'' Bunting said. "The only way we would (play him) is if there were an absolute disaster and we're doing everything we can to avoid that.'' Sexton, a true freshman, is still recovering from a broken ankle suffered during spring practice.
