Of the 19 Tar Heel signees in the 2021 cycle, well more than half hail from the state of North Carolina. ESPN college football analyst and former Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Greg McElroy has heralded Mack Brown for creating a new sense of loyalty to the state among recruits who may previously have been prone to take their talents elsewhere.
