Tar Heels lose Damion Grant to injury for good
Posted Sep 22, 2005
North Carolina already had to move on without its top seven scorers from last season's NCAA championship team. Now, the Tar Heels have to go without their biggest player. Damion Grant, a 6-11, 260-pound center, no longer will be able to play basketball at UNC, Coach Roy Williams announced Wednesday. Grant, who has battled injuries throughout his college career, suffered an injury to his right ankle during the summer that will keep him from playing his final season.
