For Malaki Hamrick, family is everything. So imagine his surprise when he came home one day during his recruiting process and learned his mother, Latoya Williams, had been chatting one on one with North Carolina football head coach Mack Brown. “I’m like, ‘Oh wow,’” Hamrick said. “That showed me they really cared: not just about the football part."
