How Arthur Smith forged a path separate from billionaire dad to become Atlanta Falcons coach

Arthur Smith's drive helped him land a scholarship to North Carolina as a guard. After redshirting in 2001 he suffered a foot injury in 2002, missed that season and the next with the injury, and played sparingly in 2004 and 2005. When he graduated, he stayed as a graduate assistant, which was his first taste of coaching. It was an eye opener for Smith.
