North Carolina firmed up its tenuous quarterbacks situation yesterday, receiving a commitment from Anthony Parker-Boyd, a high-school senior who is determined to win the starting position next season as a freshman. Parker-Boyd, who is 6-1 and 195 pounds, attends Great Valley High School in Malvern, Pa., where he plays for Coach Gary Phillips. He was offered scholarships by Wisconsin, Boston College, Iowa, Duke and Rutgers, and he said that Michigan State was ready to offer him.
