Michael Copeland clears last hurdle to join the UNC program
Posted Sep 2, 2005
Mike Copeland, Jr. cleared his last barriers at North Carolina yesterday, becoming a member of the basketball program as a late but much-needed recruit. Copeland was approved by North Carolina's admissions office after a review of his transcript. He had been waiting to hear his status since Aug. 20, when he learned that he had received A's in two summer courses he needed that seemed to be adequate for freshman eligibility under NCAA academic rules.
