Former Tar Heel forward was national player of the year in 1957, two-time All-America, ACC Player of the Year, three-time first-team All-ACC, NCAA Regional MVP, and ACC Male Athlete of the Year. He was named to the ACC’s 50th Anniversary team and International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame. His jersey No. 10 is retired by North Carolina. (Tar Heel Illustrated)
