Vonnie Holliday finally stakes his own claim to Miami
Posted Aug 26, 2005
Vonnie Holliday admits that he was jealous when the Dolphins chose another South Carolina native, defensive end Lorenzo Bromell, in the fourth round. Now, Holliday — who signed as a free agent March 5 — finally is having his day in the South Florida sun. "I remember seeing Lorenzo down here and thinking about him playing in warm weather," Holliday said. "I'm up in Green Bay, Wisconsin. My first day, I'm flying in on a propeller plane thinking how nice it would be playing in a bigger city like Miami."
