It took one four-hour football camp for Providence Day's Vince Jacobs Jr. to transform from a mid-major basketball recruit into a bona fide Division I football prospect. This is the story of how a guy who caught 10 passes in 2004 became a North Carolina commitment in 4.55 seconds -- the time it took Jacobs, a 6-foot-7, 220-pound senior, to run a 40-yard dash in front of Tar Heels coach John Bunting last month during a one-day camp.
