UNC transfer ready to play for Marshall

Chris Hawkins, a 5-foot-10, 184-pound junior, transferred to Marshall last summer after a couple of tumultuous seasons at UNC. After sitting out the mandatory season, Hawkins is ready to start playing. And if his summation is correct, Marshall's secondary has little to worry about. "I know I worked hard this summer and that whole year off to get myself better," he said. "I can say I'm probably 10 times better than I was at Carolina right now.
