Willie Parker's value rises quickly
Posted Aug 10, 2005
It is a different training camp for former UNC running back Willie Parker, much unlike the one in 2004 when he came in as an undrafted free agent and had to wow the coaches with his 4.28 speed and ability to get around the corner. Now, after a stunning performance in the regular-season finale in Buffalo, Parker is at St. Vincent College in Latrobe as something of a secret weapon, a player who possesses something the other Steelers running backs lack -- breakaway speed and the ability to make big plays.
