Free-agent guard Jeff McInnis has reached an agreement with the New Jersey Nets, his agent said Friday. McInnis, a former star at UNC, will sign a one-year deal with an option for a second, Steve Kauffman said. The 6-foot-4 McInnis can play both point guard, as a backup to Jason Kidd, and shooting guard. He averaged 12.8 points for the Cleveland Cavaliers last season.
