UNC rolls past Loyola, plays with promise to christen new era under coach Hubert Davis

Roaring out of the gate and with encouraging moments throughout, the baby blue curtain went up with promise on Hubert Davis’s coaching debut at North Carolina. The 19th-ranked Tar Heels defeated Loyola (Md.) 83-67 in men’s basketball on Tuesday night at the Smith Center, opening the 2021-22 season and christening this new era under Davis.
