North Carolina has dropped out of the latest AP Top 25 basketball poll. The Tar Heels, who lost 93-84 to then-No. 6 Purdue (now No. 3) on Saturday and 89-72 to then-No. 17 Tennessee (now No. 15) on Sunday at the Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament in Uncasville, Conn., were No. 18 last week but only had the 29th-most points in this week’s poll.
