UNC football commits Malaki Hamrick and Zach Rice will play in state championship games next Saturday, after winning this weekend. Hamrick blocked a punt and had two sacks in Shelby's 45-13 win over East Surry in the NCHSAA 2A regional finals. Meanwhile, Conner Harrell and Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson three-peated as AHSAA 7A Champions last week. (Inside Carolina)
