UNC Football's Extensive Bowl History In Charlotte

This will mark the fifth time North Carolina has visited Charlotte for a bowl game in addition to its appearance in the 2015 ACC championship game. The Charlotte bowl has changed names several times, with UNC playing under each of its sponsors. The Tar Heels played Boston College in 2004, West Virginia in 2008, Pitt in 2009, and Cincinnati in 2013. (Tar Heel Illustrated)
