UCLA's Jaime Jaquez Jr. hopeful for matchup vs. UNC despite sprained ankle

UCLA forward Jaime Jaquez Jr. remains day-to-day with a sprained right ankle and will attempt to play in the No. 4 Bruins' Sweet 16 game against No. 8 North Carolina on Friday. In open practice Thursday, Jaquez appeared to move without discomfort. "He's going to want to try and play," coach Mick Cronin said. "The question is, 'Can he be effective?'"
