Monday's game was North Carolina's 36th Final Four game, most all-time. This was UNC's 12th appearance in the National Championship game – The Tar Heels are now 6-6 in NCAA title games, including 2-1 in the Superdome. North Carolina's Armando Bacot became the first player in NCAA history with six double-doubles in one NCAA Tournament.
