Jerry Stackhouse was named 1995 Sports Illustrated National Player of the Year while earning consensus first-team All-America and first-team All-ACC honors that season, which ended with the Tar Heels advancing to the Final Four. He was the Southeast Region MOP, leading the Tar Heels past Georgetown and Kentucky to advance to the Final Four.
