After switching positions a couple of times at UNC, Lawrence Taylor settled in at outside linebacker. He was a first-Team All-America as a senior in 1980, the 1980 ACC Player of the Year, and on the 50 Greatest ACC Players Ever team. Taylor is enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame and considered the greatest defensive player in the history of the sport.
