UNC QB Drake Maye discusses competition to replace Sam Howell

North Carolina enters Year 1 of the post-Sam Howell era with Jacolby Criswell and Drake Maye battling for the Tar Heels' starting quarterback job. Criswell is a former 4-star recruit from the 2020 class, while Maye was the No. 9 quarterback in the class of 2021. “Me and Jacolby, it’s kind of our show out there,” Maye said at UNC's summer press conference.
