‘Ultra competitive’ Drake Maye credits his upbringing for winning UNC QB battle

Drake Maye speaks fluent competition. It’s a language he fully understood growing up battling older brothers, Luke, Cole, and Beau, over everything from basketball, to ping-pong, to grades. It’s also why, after a battle with Jacolby Criswell to become UNC’s starting quarterback, his reaction to getting the start in the season opener was so muted.
