North Carolina Freshman Running Backs Make Splash in Season Opener

While veteran D.J. Jones made his first career start at running back, UNC’s youngest backs led the charge in Saturday's season opener. The true freshman duo of Omarion Hampton and George Pettaway combined for 152 rushing yards and three touchdowns in their first college game, as the Tar Heels flattened Florida A&M, 56-24, at Kenan Stadium.
