There’s much discussion on where Michael Jordan’s competitiveness originated. Many say that he was born with it, while Jordan claims it was instilled in him by his father. Kenny Smith, who was Jordan’s teammate at UNC, says he knows exactly how Jordan’s competitive fire was kindled. According to Smith, the legendary Dean Smith sparked that flame in Jordan.
