Mack Brown Guiding UNC Football Into ACC Title Contention

It was 25 years ago today that Mack Brown last played for the ACC crown. His fifth-ranked Tar Heels lost to No. 2 Florida State, 20-3, in a game billed as Judgment Day at Kenan Stadium. Four weeks later, Brown packed his bags for Texas. UNC has approached that level of success on the football field just once since Brown hopped a flight to Austin.
