Jay Wooten gives UNC a kick start

First impressions are often misleading. But North Carolina is hoping that’s not the case with kicker Jay Wooten. Wooten got the first opportunity of his career to perform the placement duties for UNC in its Sept. 11 game at Rutgers. The redshirt freshman responded with a perfect performance that earned him ACC Specialist of the Week honors and another chance to kick for UNC today in its league opener against Virginia Tech.
