Over his first two games, Brandon Tate has shattered the UNC record for single-game, all-purpose yards (397); set personal bests for longest catch (69 yards) and longest run (54 yards); and left himself needing only 136 return yards against Virginia Tech today to break the NCAA career mark (3,455). Formerly pigeon-holed as a return guy, he is now an eruptive, multi-faceted threat. (Raleigh News & Observer)
