Pete Nance shows he can be a huge factor for No. 1 UNC, as Tar Heels hold on to win

Thanks to scoring 16 of his 18 points, along with three 3-pointers and three blocks, in the first half, UNC led Gardner-Webb by four at halftime. It didn’t turn into the expected blowout, though as UNC held on for a 72-66 victory Tuesday night over winless Gardner-Webb. Like against College of Charleston, UNC looked more engaged after halftime. (Tar Heel Tribune)
