Tar Heel runners and carried the ball just six times for 6 yards after the Tar Heels took a 17-3 lead. Granted, receivers and also carried during that time span, but it was telling that even with an inexperienced quarterback behind center, UNC didn't go to its tailbacks to protect the lead.
